Beliefs Run behind the Scenes - Anais Nin, Author

 


Beliefs run your life from behind the scenes. They are buried beneath the surface like icebergs and what you are consciously aware of is only the tip of the iceberg. What exactly is a belief? It is your perception of reality, something you decided was true at some point in time, because you were either told it was true or you proved it to be so. Whether or not it is still true, the belief is a part of you and a determining factor in the results you get in your life—because beliefs govern your actions, reactions, thoughts, and feelings. Some are life-supporting, others self-defeatingYou must uncover what beliefs are running you so you can keep only the ones that support you and transform or eliminate the others.
 

You may take all the right actions; yet sabotage your success by not believing it is possible because you have never done it before. Or you may have destructive beliefs, formed in the past and useful at one time, such as: I’m not capable, deserving, good enough, smart enough, or worse. Because it seemed true then doesn’t mean it still is. And at the time you formed it, it probably wasn’t even true, it was just your perception. There are many ways to interpret experiences. Some negative ways are: “I’m a failure” or “I never get what I want.” These statements were your take on the experience and were not true. But you believed them and stored them as statements of truth according to you. Someone else might have thought: “I need to examine what didn’t work and fix it,” or “I’m proud of myself that I took the risk.” All these statements add positive reinforcement to this person’s belief system and they have a better chance of success next time.

Observe Your Belief System

 


Observe your beliefs by listening to your thoughts and words and trying to align the two.  Write down the ones that don’t serve you well.  Learn  other ways to change your thoughts or words to empower your beliefs. The truth is that if you believe you will have success and reach higher limits, you will. Remember, whatever you believe, is what is your truth. So why not believe in yourself and your ability to have all the success and happiness you deserve?

Combining Thoughts and Words

When your thoughts don’t align with your actions, you’re driving with your foot on the gas and the brake at the same time. Your goals and actions are the gas, while the self-defeating thoughts and words are the brakes. Your thoughts and words are more powerful than the actions you take in pursuit of your goals. They create an energy that either supports or inhibits your success and speak more loudly and have more impact than anything you do in your outer world. 

 

So the next time you set a goal, develop a plan, and take actions, remember to develop your inner plan along with your outer one to work together to achieve success. Think success, speak success, and act success and you will achieve it!

Success Mindset

 


A successful life begins with a success mindset, and that begins with your thoughts—as well as the words you speak primarily to yourself and also what you say to others. Some days you may wake up thinking that you’re never going to reach your goal, the economy is bad, you don’t have enough skills or time or money. Or you complain to someone that you’ve done so much and are still not seeing results. Or maybe you’ve done something you considered foolish and beat yourself up for it, calling yourself “stupid” or “loser” or even worse.  Take control of your thoughts and you’ll see your life changing before your eyes.

The Vibration of Success

Most people, when they think of success, generally envision setting a goal and doing certain activities to achieve that goal. In other words, a series of external actions that will lead them to success. However, success does not always result directly from performing certain actions, and when it doesn’t, we may be puzzled as to why we didn’t achieve the goal. Did we do something wrong? Should we have taken different actions? Was the goal too far fetched?

The truth is that success is first an inside job before it can be a result on the outside. For optimum success, therefore, we need to take on the Vibration of Success. What does that mean? Vibration is energy, and the energy you hold in your thoughts and feelings on the inside attracts to you like results on the outside. If you hold an inner vibration of lack and loss, you’ll attract lack and loss in your physical world. Holding the Vision

There are various steps to creating, attracting and manifesting your desires. Initially, you need to be crystal clear about what you want. Then you can use various methods and disciplines to bring your desires into your life. Affirmations, visualization, journaling, positive self-talk and raising your vibrational energy are all tools you can use to draw to you your highest goals and visions.

While knowing what you want and asking for it are essential to manifesting, so is holding the vision. You may say affirmations every morning then go about the rest of the day doubting your words. Or you might focus on too many goals at once and lose your focus and clarity on the most important ones.

Love - the Greatest Attractor of All

Do you have someone special to be with on Valentine’s Day? Whether you’re in a relationship with another or not, everyone has someone special. YOU! You are the most special person in your world. And if you want to have more love in your life, all you need to do is love yourself. Sounds simple! And for some it is the most difficult thing to do. Women especially are often taught to put everyone’s needs ahead of their own. Men are taught they need to take care of their wives and families. So if we’re all taking care of others, who’s taking care of us?

Although it would seem that those we take care of are being loved and their needs are being met, only we can fill our deepest need-that of self-approval or self-love. If you don’t love and accept yourself, it is difficult for anyone else to really love you deeply. No one else but you knows what it really means to take care of your innate needs.
